How to Refer

At Oceanaire we are highly trained and have extensive experience in helping women who struggle with eating disorder issues including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating and other related complex disordered eating and compulsive exercising. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to initiate the admissions process are or to provide further resources if the person is assessed to be inappropriate for residential treatment. Below is information on how to refer to Oceanaire:

When you have made the decision that a higher level of care is needed for your client (or they are ready to step-down to residential care), contact Oceanaire. Either you or your client’s (or the family) can contact Oceanaire directly at 866.406.0166. Be sure  to inform Oceanaire's Intake Staff that you’re making the referral. Our Intake Staff is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will receive a call from a Regional Manager of Clinical Outreach within 24 hours of the initial call to Oceanaire Intake.

Oceanaire is a preferred provider to many insurance providers and we will assist you or your client in verifying her insurance benefits, as well as setting up a financial plan, if necessary. We offer  an all-inclusive per day rate, which includes weekly medical monitoring from our Psychiatrist and Physician, four private/family therapy sessions per week, weekly structured peer groups, a private nutritional session, plus two hours of didactic nutritional education weekly, hands-on meal exposure -  preparation, restaurant outings, and other therapeutic activities. Not included in the per day rate, may be some additional fees for extenuating medical and lab fees.

When your or your client has completed our admissions process, which includes a thorough biopsychsocial, nutrition, medical/psychiatric, family, and recreational/health assessment and outside lab work and immunization history has been completed to ensure residential treatment is the appropriate level of care, you will received a call from your client's Oceanaire primary therapist within 48 hours of her arrival (assuming all appropriate releases have been signed).  At that point, you and your client's primary Oceanaire therapist will setup a  Communication Plan on when/how often you would like to be contacted during your client's stay with us. When your client has finished treatment at Oceanaire and we are ready to discharge your client back to your care, or to a higher level of care such as Partial Hospitalization or Intensive Outpatient, you will receive a thorough Discharge Plan from your client's Oceanaire primary therapist. If your client lives within a close proximity from our facility, then we may be able to step her down to our Partial Hospitalization program at Oceanaire.
