The Program at Oceanaire

Oceanaire is a residential treatment program for women who struggle with eating disorders. Our mission is to provide intensive, effective and individualized treatment for women with anorexia, bulimia, binge eating and other related complex disordered eating in a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. Oceanaire strives to provide residents with the best care possible by utilizing validated treatment approaches to address the impact that disordered eating behaviors have on one's sense of an integrated self. The goal of the Oceanaire residential program is to strategically interrupt eating disorder behaviors and provide effective medical, nutritional and behavioral interventions to support re-nourishment and ultimately long-term recovery. The residential program at Oceanaire is based on a unique six-phase process.

Low Resident to Staff Ratio

Oceanaire has a low resident to staff ratio, which allows our residents to experience a very individualized and intensive treatment program. Research shows that twenty-four hour protocols, have been found to be particularly effective in identifying and addressing the destructive behaviors and underlying emotional issues associated with eating disorder behaviors.

At Oceanaire we understand that eating disorders require highly trained and specialized professionals who can monitor the medical, nutritional, behavioral and emotional lives of those affected. We specialize in the treatment of anorexia, bulimia, binge eating and other related complex disordered eating. Frequently there are accompanying problems such as self-injurious behaviors, trauma, mood disorders, and substance abuse that require additional expertise from the Oceanaire team.
